We didn't pick the name to be cute - it came with the boat and has a storied history of sailing up and down the West Coast, and because it is the most accurate description of a Corsair F27 trimaran that exists. Origami is a 1991 Corsair Marine F27 Formula, hull-built right here in Chula Vista, California, back when Corsair was still cranking these things out by hand and Ian Farrier's folding-trimaran patent was the best-kept secret in performance sailing.
